2. Ship it or drop it off. Print the free prepaid shipping label from your order, or bring the device to one of our stores.
3. Get paid. We check the device when it arrives and pay out within 2 to 4 hours of delivery, once its final condition is confirmed. You can follow your order from your account at any time.

Selling for cash vs a carrier trade-in

A carrier trade-in usually ties the value of your old phone to a new phone or a new line, and it is often paid as bill credits spread over many months. When you sell your phone to us, you get one cash payout for the device itself, with no new contract, and you can spend it on anything, including a phone from any carrier or store.

Before you sell your device

• Back it up. Save your photos, contacts and messages to your cloud account or a computer.
• Turn off iCloud or remove your Google account. An activation lock stops the next owner from setting the device up. Our FAQ walks through both, step by step.
• Take out your SIM and memory cards. If you forget, tell us before we process your device.
• Reset it if you can. We also wipe every device when we check it in.
